When you enter a start date without specifying a start time, Project uses the default start time; when you enter a finish date without specifying an end time, Project uses the default end time. For example, if you enter a finish date of 10/20/19 for a task but don't enter an end time, Project uses the default end time. I obeserve the following behavior: 1. I set the task to start on Monday. I set the duration for 5 days. Strictly speaking my task should finish at the end of the working day on Friday, yet MS Project shows the completion date as the following Monday. Linking next task to this one, sets the start date correctly to the following Monday. When viewing work items within Team Foundation server for a particular project, I attempted to publish my work items to a MS Project file.When the MS Project file is created the Start and Stop time for the work items is not transfered to the MS Project. Instead the start/finish date for any task is the current date with a duration time of 1 day.Why will the start/finish dates, duration time assigned to the work items not transfer to the MS Project?Please advise.Also, if I go the other way, meaning I define my MS Project schedule dates for all tasks and them convert the MS Project to work items, the start/finish date for each task shows correctly for the work items in Team Foundation for the specified project. But again, if atempt to view the work items in a MS project, the start/finish date is again lost.Thanks for any direction on the matter. Add a question mark to any duration estimate. Remove the question mark to indicate a committed duration. You can filter or sort by estimated durations.
